Killybegs, Donegal

Killybegs is a major port for the Atlantic fishing fleets. The fleets were in port, as fishing is banned in summer by the EU. These ships are huge, self-contained fishing factories. They drag fish on board and unload bleue plastic crates of cleaned and gutted fillets packed in ice. You can see how these immense machines could strip an ocean of fish.

The small boats that look like toys tied to the sides of the fishing ships are large tugboats.
