Donegal Lighthouse on a very windy day

A North Atlantic storm was funneling fierce winds across Western Ireland as we headed north to Buncrana. The winds stayed with us the whole time we were in the north.

  1. From KS: We drove out to the eastern end of the Inishowen Peninsula, which faces the North Atlantic, in the general direction of Scotland. We wandered off the main road near the crest, and could see Scotland, it was so clear. At the very end was Inishowen Head, with a long, beautiful beach 'round to Dunagree point, with the lighthouse, and the keeper's house nearby. We wanted to climb up the lighthouse, but it was marked Private - Keep Out! Too bad.
